Hi closer2thelung,
At first thanks for this awesome work. It is great.
Are you planning (if it is possible) to mark differencies between files and directories in Scroll launcher? At the moment everything have the same icon and is not possible to recognize it.

Unfortunately i don't think that will be possible. Older versions kept the original icons but scrolled very slowly. The problem is rainmeter keeps a cache of the icons on screen and replaces them every time a new icon takes its place. So having every item be a different icon causes the scroll function to be almost obsolete. I get how it is confusing with folders and files and i wish there was a functional way to fix it. The only solution would be to hide all folders completely.

And do you think it is possible to see file extension? Because hiding folders is not option for me :)
Anyway still perfect design from you!!

- since you can't right click the scroll, right click any other part of my skin>manage skin>expand scroll folder>click on scroll.ini>click the edit button at top right.
- search for "HideExtensions=#HIDEEXTENTIONS#" (without the quotes)
- replace with "HideExtensions=0" (no quotes)
- save
- refresh skin

yes you can set it to see file extensions. right now i have it set up so it shows file extensions on downloads and documents menus. but you can edit scroll.ini to show it on all of them. i am at work right now but when i get home i will post the steps on how to do that.

Hi,
I am all new to rainmeter and really liking this skin. For the Quick Launch, I put my shortcuts (.LNK files) here Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\ArcMenu\Folders\Quick Launch but it doesn't update on my desktop. I tried to modify the icons in the Quick Launch folder (Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\ArcMenu\QuickLaunch) but every time I refresh the skin, it goes back to the old "blank" items.

Any idea about this issue ?
Thanks

Just wondering, is there a way to get the correct icons in the scrollbar/mainmenu (right side)? Example: I have 25 games shortcuts placed at the path folder of the Games Menu tab. When i open the tab i see all the shortcuts but all with the same icon, very confusing (all the steam icon). (Like in your screenshots)
Would be nice if you could add that as setting or that it would be done automatic.

And thanks! It's awesome skin

it runs way too slow for that to work in the latest version. but you can download version 2.1.1 here. it keeps each file's icon but is missing a bunch of features from the newest version.

Oh thanks, but like you said, it misses a lot of features that i use at the moment and those are better than just a visual upgrade :)

Sorry for the late reply but I was busy upgrading this project. if you download the new version (3.0), you can use the settings button to change anything you like, including the menu paths and quick launch folder path.

Hi I downloaded this skin, but I can't seem to get the album art part to work. The fullscreen mode works just fine, but the circle where the art should be is empty. The track info shows up in the circle when I hover over it though, but still no art.

If you are using Windows 7 make sure you have rainmeter 3.2 or higher and that D2D rendering is turned on in rainmeter (right click any rainmeter skin>manage skin>Settings Tab>check D2D rendering.

If that is turned on you probably need this windows platform update

So I've tried to set the slideshow to use a folder that's inside my \Pictures folder. "PicPath=C:\Users\Cyberpower\Pictures\Wallpaper"
The problem is that the slideshow circle won't show.
I have 'save position' checked & 'keep on screen' unchecked like you suggested before. I even set the coordinates to be the same as the clock, which does work. Any ideas.

-Does the album art show? If not you may need the windows platform update to make use of rainmeter's imagemask feature *see description for link*
-Have you refreshed rainmeter? right click any rainmeter skin>Rainmeter>Refresh All.
-If that doesnt work make sure the path is correct ie... is it "Wallpapers" not "Wallpaper"?

Well I have a new Problem. I have Rainmeter twice on my PC. And the second one is a bit buggy, but this was the one i installed this skin. I cant set this one as autostart, so i installed your skin one the first rainmeter (default folder location). So the new Problem is: I cant move the skin around.
Audio level>manage skin>uncheck "keep on screen" doesnt help.
Can you help me out?

make sure "draggable" is checked.

you can also set the x and y coordinates manually in the 'manage skin' screen.

Love the skin, very nice!
I just got a small problem with the "Audio Level". Seems to be stuck at the bottom of my screen. Can only move it left/right, not up/down.
Got any idea why? :)

I know it can be a bit confusing especially if you are new to rainmeter. It is quite simple though.
Go to the quicklaunch folder I created for the skin located at: Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\Circles Menu\Folders\Quick Launch
then add any shortcuts you like in that folder. (Up to 12)
The shortcuts have to be .LNK format (normal shortcut format)

Once you have added shortcuts, you can right click on any of the quicklaunch icons in the skin to open your quicklaunch folder.

If you have any more questions let me know

Could u drag a shortcut for a game into this folder or is their a specific way to make these shortcuts And also the folder doesn't open up when right clicked on application most of the other ones work

You could ALT drag a program. It will say "create link in". That will create a shortcut. Or right click on the program>send to>desktop (create shortcut). Then place the shortcut in your quicklaunch folder.

Not sure why right click on application isn't working. I just tested it again and it seems to be working. Maybe rainmeter is busy? It's sometimes pretty resource heavy.

So i put all my games in the quicklaunch folder using alt and draging a program. but their all in different spots like some of my games are in the bookmarks section how do i change that?

Well the are sorted alphabetically from the top to bottom. Where they are in the quicklaunch semi-circle is unrelated to what menu icon is above it. If you want it set up like that I guess you could just name the shortcuts "01shortcut.lnk","02shortcut.lnk" and so on.... to have them sorted any way you like.

make sure they are shortcuts in the quicklaunch folder. Not exe's. They have to have .LNK extension.

Those light icons are png format. You can use a website like www.convertico.com/ to convert each png to ico format. then right click on each shortcut to change the icon

unfortunately rainmeter doesn't support spotify album art. only track info. there is a supposed method in order to get it to work that involves getting a personal api from last.fm and scraping the info from spotify, but its very hit and miss.
