You don't need to edit any ini file. Every setting can be changed using the settings menu (the 3 line icon above the inner most ring).

Are they shortcuts to folders or to programs? You should be able to right click on the shortcut and choose 'change icon'. Make sure they are in the Quicklaunch folder which is "Rainmeter\Skins\ArcMenu\Folders\Quicklaunch"

You can change the location of your quicklaunch folder in the settings menu as well if you need to. Hope this helps and thanks for the compliment :)

When I use the Expanded Album and click on one of the Menu bars to the left ( not from Quick Launch), the Menu bar returns to standard look.

Also I dunno if it's a config that I haven't made but the Audio levels won't show for me. I use iTunes.

Secondly. I can't seem to figure out how to configure the QuickLaunch buttons. Yes I am a little  noob. I run Windows 10 and the latest version of Rainmeter.

EDIT: I've figured out the Audio Levels problem. I had it set to a color that matched the background too much. But I have another question about it. How do I make it so it is connected to iTunes rather than my whole audio output?

I couldn't replicate the problem you are having with the menu bar returning back to normal. I know it keeps the same click opacity so if you have the click opacity set to 255, then the menu item you click on will turn a solid color. If your click opacity is low then it should only appear darker over the album. I'm not sure if this is the problem you are experiencing, but if it, just set your click opacity to 75 or lower.

I'll have to test the expand art problem once i get home (at work atm). Audio level works by reading all audio output. There is no way to make it just register itunes audio. At least no way that I am aware of.

As for the quicklaunch icons: read my response below. Should help you out.

the default location for your quicklaunch items is Rainmeter\Skins\ArcMenu\Folders\quicklaunch. put your shortcuts into that folder and then refresh the skin. if you want to customize each icon, right click on the shortcut in windows explorer and choose properties>change icon. Always refresh the skin after you make changes.

if that doesnt work, make sure you have the music player set correctly in the settings menu.

Hey there. how can I change the resolution of the audio level? I cant move it up and down. only side to side. My resolution is 1366X768.

Do you mean change the position? Right click on the audio level bars>Manage skin>uncheck 'keep on screen. The reason it is not moving up and down is because the size of my skin is at the max to your screen resolution. So if you were to move it up or down, part of the audio bars will be cut off. You can change the size of the entire skin in the settings menu.

When I expand the menu to a value of 1000 the buttons in the menu.ini is offset to obscure coordanances. In simplicity, the buttons and text for menu.ini don't match up. is there a possible fix for this? I can send a screenshot if you have no idea of what I'm talking about. btw, really like what you have here.

it scales fine on my end. the icons may look a little offset, but if you change the icon size in the settings menu to around 28 or so, it will look better. the words stay aligned for me though. link to a screen shot and i can see if there is something else i can see.

visualizer should work when any sound comes from the computer. spotify, itunes, vlc, a website... shouldn't matter. right click on your volume icon in taskbar. choose playback devices and make sure your speakers or headphones (depending on how you have your set up) are selected as default.

click on the settings button (the 3 lines at the top of the inner circle). click on weather. you will see an "i" icon. click on it to go to a site where you can look up your weather code. put the weather code in the box in the settings menu. click the "x" at the top right to save changes and exit the menu. the weather info should refresh and display your city.

The default folder locations for your Bookmarks, QuickLanch and Controls shortcuts are "Rainmeter\Skins\ArcMenu\Folders\...". This can be changed in the Settings Menu.

Your Rainmeter folder is usually in "my documents". Or a quickway to get to the quicklaunch folder is right click on the bookmarks button and it will open up the bookmarks folder located in the same spot as the quicklaunch folder. Just put all your quicklaunch shortcuts into the quicklaunch folder then reset the skin.

Or make a folder for quicklaunch programs anywhere you like then go to settings and choose that folder for quicklaunch path.

Im trying to get the album art and album tracker to work with MusicBee. The i in a circle on the music tab of setting says the input code is CAD. which i am putting into the "Set Music Player" bar. but when i go to album art to open MusicBee it doesnt work. Also, the Album tracker, it is still coming up as iTunes. What am I doing wrong or is MusicBee just not supported?

I've never used musicbee but the Rainmeter docs says it is fully supported. It notes you must have musicbee 1.2 or later. I'm not at home atm so I can't test it. If you open musicbee normally then play a song, does anything show up? (art, song title) and do the music controls work? The player not opening from the album art circle may be a playerpath problem that I will look at when I get the chance tonight.

As far as albumtracker: it scans the itunes website for latest release info. Then opens up that page when you click on the itunes button, which usually causes your itunes player to open up as well. That app(skin) only uses itunes.

Ok so the albumtracker is bunk for me then, ah well.

as for the music player, nothing. I have the latest MusicBee of their site. (2.something) I tried opening and playing then using the buttons associated, and they dont function. Got it to kinda work with Spotify, but only Play/Pause and Next work for that.

After some testing and digging around i found the solution: open musicbee, go to edit>preferences>plugins>"enable cd art display"

Should fix it. rainmeter should really mention this in the docs!

...also what about albumtracker makes it bunk for you? the fact that it opens a link to the itunes store? just looking for some feedback.

the album track doesn't read what is playing. I don't mind the link, but when something is playing, it still just says Info Not Available. So it doesn't really have a use for me. No biggie

and thanks for the digging. I thought it was something with the skin so it never occurred to check MusicBee's settings, derp on my part.

Sorry, I kinda misspoke when I said albumtracker only uses itunes. What I meant was that skin only uses the itunes website to scrape the info. you can change the albumtracker settings to the music player you are using with the settings button that is on the top of the alubmtracker app itself. In your case change player to CAD and it will work.

I've gone through a few thousand Rainmeter skins/apps and this is by far the best!!! I have a few others I use with it but this is my centerpiece. Few others rival it and only in a more minimalist fashion. I work with tons of apps, files, and programs that make it tedious to not have this. Your work has become crucial to my everyday life! Thank you so very much, and I hope to see more work like it!!! :D
