Im trying to get the album art and album tracker to work with MusicBee. The i in a circle on the music tab of setting says the input code is CAD. which i am putting into the "Set Music Player" bar. but when i go to album art to open MusicBee it doesnt work. Also, the Album tracker, it is still coming up as iTunes. What am I doing wrong or is MusicBee just not supported?

I've never used musicbee but the Rainmeter docs says it is fully supported. It notes you must have musicbee 1.2 or later. I'm not at home atm so I can't test it. If you open musicbee normally then play a song, does anything show up? (art, song title) and do the music controls work? The player not opening from the album art circle may be a playerpath problem that I will look at when I get the chance tonight.

As far as albumtracker: it scans the itunes website for latest release info. Then opens up that page when you click on the itunes button, which usually causes your itunes player to open up as well. That app(skin) only uses itunes.

Ok so the albumtracker is bunk for me then, ah well.

as for the music player, nothing. I have the latest MusicBee of their site. (2.something) I tried opening and playing then using the buttons associated, and they dont function. Got it to kinda work with Spotify, but only Play/Pause and Next work for that.

After some testing and digging around i found the solution: open musicbee, go to edit>preferences>plugins>"enable cd art display"

Should fix it. rainmeter should really mention this in the docs!

...also what about albumtracker makes it bunk for you? the fact that it opens a link to the itunes store? just looking for some feedback.

the album track doesn't read what is playing. I don't mind the link, but when something is playing, it still just says Info Not Available. So it doesn't really have a use for me. No biggie

and thanks for the digging. I thought it was something with the skin so it never occurred to check MusicBee's settings, derp on my part.

Sorry, I kinda misspoke when I said albumtracker only uses itunes. What I meant was that skin only uses the itunes website to scrape the info. you can change the albumtracker settings to the music player you are using with the settings button that is on the top of the alubmtracker app itself. In your case change player to CAD and it will work.

I've gone through a few thousand Rainmeter skins/apps and this is by far the best!!! I have a few others I use with it but this is my centerpiece. Few others rival it and only in a more minimalist fashion. I work with tons of apps, files, and programs that make it tedious to not have this. Your work has become crucial to my everyday life! Thank you so very much, and I hope to see more work like it!!! :D

Hey, I'm just posting to say that I love this Menu, it's so neat and tidy. I love the changeable centre so I can swap between several different modes.

I am having a problem with the settings menu however, in that it won't let me change the paths for any of the buttons such as "Downloads" "Games" and the others, I'm wondering if there is a fix for this as they just display the different drives of my PC when clicked on currently

thanks! glad you like it.

when you open the settings menu, and click to change the path for a menu, a box should pop up where you can browse to whatever folder you wish and click ok. Then click apply, or save and exit and the effects should take place.

If this isnt happening where exactly is the problem coming up? does it let you choose the path or does the folder option box not even pop up?

Nothing at all happens when I click any of the Path For Menu boxes, I don't know if it is a setting that's wrong on my end or a problem with the menu but I can't seem to click any of those boxes. I should mention that the other boxes for things like sizes and opacity I can change, but any that choose a path cannot be picked. I'm mainly wondering if I can simply enter it in a file rather than this menu to kinda bypass this problem

hmm.. could be a problem with your fileview plugin. Maybe try re installing rainmeter. they just updated to v3.3 so good chance to re install/update anyways. I'm not sure what else you can try to fix the plugin. I can't even find someone with a similar problem in the rainmeter forums.

If all else fails you can manually enter the paths if you go to Rainmeter\Skins\ArcMenu\resources\uservariables.inc then scroll down to the PATHS section... type in what paths you want, save, then refresh the skin.

it runs way too painfully slow for that to work in the latest version. but you can download version 2.1.1 here:

www.oboom.com/8ZMBKUYZ/The%20A…

it keeps each file's icon but it is missing a bunch of features from the newest version and also runs much slower.

Don't know if you're still supporting this skin but when I try to click/right click on the menu item ie. desktop shortcut, nothing happens- just the rainmeter default right click pops up. I changed my file paths through the settings panels and it does not update on the side

You have to click on the shortcut icon, not the text. Rainmeter handles angled text as a large box so I was unable to make the text clickable.

Insane skin!!!
Can you please share even the dark blue wallpaper?
The Jarvis Logon you linked has some stripes that makes it really bad :(

Plus i have one problem with the equalizer... it doesn't even show the effect cuz i use headsets and the volume is always low and it depends from how high is the volume in that moment.
I would like to see the effects anyway, even at volume lvl 1.
Any way to fix it?

Thank you!

Here is the jarvis wallpaper with no lines.

I'm not sure what could be causing the problem with the equalizer. Even if I mute my sound, the EQ bars still show up. Rainmeter docs says it gets levels from your default audio output source, so try going to your sound options in your system tray and setting your headphones to default. Besides that, I'm not sure what else you could try.

Hey just wanted to let you know that the current update is a huge and amazing improvement from the previous versions. The settings menu is honestly the best! The only issue I am having is that upon resizing the entire menu under the general tab on the settings, the app changer buttons (with the roman numerals) do not scale and get very misaligned. I was wondering if there was a way to fix this in the code?

Hi closer2thelung,
At first thanks for this awesome work. It is great.
Are you planning (if it is possible) to mark differencies between files and directories in Scroll launcher? At the moment everything have the same icon and is not possible to recognize it.

:iconcloser2thelung:
closer2thelung Featured By Owner Jan 11, 2015  Hobbyist General Artist
Unfortunately i don't think that will be possible. Older versions kept the original icons but scrolled very slowly. The problem is rainmeter keeps a cache of the icons on screen and replaces them every time a new icon takes its place. So having every item be a different icon causes the scroll function to be almost obsolete. I get how it is confusing with folders and files and i wish there was a functional way to fix it. The only solution would be to hide all folders completely.

And do you think it is possible to see file extension? Because hiding folders is not option for me :)
Anyway still perfect design from you!!

- since you can't right click the scroll, right click any other part of my skin>manage skin>expand scroll folder>click on scroll.ini>click the edit button at top right.
- search for "HideExtensions=#HIDEEXTENTIONS#" (without the quotes)
- replace with "HideExtensions=0" (no quotes)
- save
- refresh skin

yes you can set it to see file extensions. right now i have it set up so it shows file extensions on downloads and documents menus. but you can edit scroll.ini to show it on all of them. i am at work right now but when i get home i will post the steps on how to do that.

Hi,
I am all new to rainmeter and really liking this skin. For the Quick Launch, I put my shortcuts (.LNK files) here Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\ArcMenu\Folders\Quick Launch but it doesn't update on my desktop. I tried to modify the icons in the Quick Launch folder (Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\ArcMenu\QuickLaunch) but every time I refresh the skin, it goes back to the old "blank" items.

Any idea about this issue ?
Thanks

Just wondering, is there a way to get the correct icons in the scrollbar/mainmenu (right side)? Example: I have 25 games shortcuts placed at the path folder of the Games Menu tab. When i open the tab i see all the shortcuts but all with the same icon, very confusing (all the steam icon). (Like in your screenshots)
Would be nice if you could add that as setting or that it would be done automatic.

And thanks! It's awesome skin

If you are using Windows 7 make sure you have rainmeter 3.2 or higher and that D2D rendering is turned on in rainmeter (right click any rainmeter skin>manage skin>Settings Tab>check D2D rendering.

If that is turned on you probably need this windows platform update
